This page shares updates and resources about federal policy changes happening at the national level. When the new President took office in January, the administration issued several Executive Orders and attempted to freeze federal funding. These orders told federal agencies, like the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), to make some immediate policy changes.
What You Need to Know:
- Right now, no residents or program participants of Home Forward are at risk of losing their housing or financial help because of the orders.
- Home Forward is not a federal agency and has not been directly affected by these Executive Orders or other federal policy changes at this time.
- We are continuing to monitor funding impacts to popular housing and support programs that many families depend on.
- Home Forward aims to provide accurate and factual information. We have provided answers to some frequently asked questions about the proposed changes and encourage you know your rights.
Home Forward has created resources with helpful information for residents and program participants. This includes updates about immigration, HUD funding, legal resources, and more. Please check back often for updates.
