(No Longer Current) Waiting List for New Beech Street Apartments Opens

Home Forward's new Beech Street apartment community in Northeast Portland is accepting applications for the waiting lists for two- and three-bedroom apartments.  The homes, which will be available this summer, serve families in recovery from alcohol and drug addition.  The apartments are subsidized with project-based Section 8, with residents paying 28.5 - 31 percent of their gross monthly income for rent.

Applicants' incomes must be less than 50 percent of the area median income, which for 2014 is $27,800 for an individual and $34,700 for a family of four.  A waiting list preference will be given to households whose incomes are less than 30 percent of the area median income, $14,600 for an individual and $20,800 for a family of four.

Beech Street applicants must have at least 120 days of continued, current sobriety at the time of move-in, and they must participate in an ongoing recovery program prior to move-in as part of the qualification process.

Income Property Management Co. is managing the apartment community for Home Forward.  If you have questions about the application process, please call Margaret Campbell at 503.223.6327, ext. 135.
